PESD is an urban school district with 13 schools. Pendergast Elementary School District operates a Dreamscape Learn virtual reality classroom — a partnership with ASU that lets students dive into immersive educational experiences like ocean exploration and historical simulations. The district has said a complete 2026-2027 calendar — including teacher workdays — will be published soon. This calendar includes 5 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
