MSD is a suburban school district with 82 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 10 and end May 27. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (November 23–January 5) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. The calendar also notes several religious observances (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Chanukah, Passover) for awareness — school stays in session on these days. This calendar includes 3 professional development days, 9 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
