Cedar Falls Community School District School Calendar 2026-2027

At a Glance

CF is an urban school district with 11 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 24 and end June 1. Cedar Falls Community Schools traces its roots to 1846, when Mrs. Jackson Taylor opened the first school in her home — so early that parents had to escort children through woods where Native Americans were still sighted nearby. This calendar includes 5 professional development days, 6 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
