BCPS is a suburban school district with 179 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 31 and end May 21. The calendar sets aside 2 additional days (June 15–June 16) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 6 professional development days, 12 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
