CCPS is a rural school district with 29 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 31 and end June 11. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (March 22–April 30) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. The calendar also notes several religious observances (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa) for awareness — school stays in session on these days. This calendar includes 4 professional development days, 7 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
