Gulfport School District School Calendar 2026-2027

At a Glance

GDS is an urban school district with 11 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin July 23 and end June 4. Gulfport High School's mascot is the Admirals, a nod to Gulfport's history as a major Gulf Coast port city. This district follows a year-round calendar for the 2026-2027 year, with several shorter breaks spread across the year instead of one long summer. The calendar sets aside 5 additional days (November 23–May 31) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 5 professional development days, 1 early-release or half day — useful to know when planning childcare.

Also known as GDS.
