Jackson County School District School Calendar 2026-2027

At a Glance

JCSD is a rural school district with 14 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin July 24 and end May 26. Jackson County School District observes Mardi Gras Holidays as a full week off — a tradition rooted in the district's location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where Mardi Gras is a major regional celebration. This calendar includes 4 professional development days, 4 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare. The last day of school is weather-contingent, ranging from December 16 to May 27 depending on how many built-in weather makeup days are used.

Also known as JCSD.
