WDPS is a suburban school district with 10 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 31 and end June 16. Westfield Public Schools' motto is 'A Tradition of Excellence,' reflecting the district's longstanding identity in Union County, NJ. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (February 12–March 23) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 3 professional development days, 8 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
