Patchogue-Medford Union Free School District School Calendar 2026-2027

At a Glance

PM is a suburban school district with 11 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin September 2 and end June 25. Patchogue-Medford School District was established in 1854 and its motto is "Where Education Is Met With Excellence." The calendar sets aside 2 additional days (May 17–May 28) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. The calendar also notes several religious observances (No School - Yom Kippur, *Eid al-Fitr - School is in session—No homework, quizzes and/or tests will be assigned) for awareness — school stays in session on these days. This calendar includes 3 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
