BSD is an urban school district with 11 schools. The first day of school is August 31. Bethel School District was formed in 1948 through the consolidation of five smaller districts — Bethel, Irving, Clear Lake, Danebo, and Malabon — and today serves the northwest Eugene area as the third-largest district in Lane County. The district has said a complete 2026-2027 calendar — including early dismissal dates and teacher workdays — will be published soon. This calendar includes 1 early-release or half day — useful to know when planning childcare.
