ASD is a suburban school district with 41 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin July 20 and end May 27. This district follows a year-round calendar for the 2026-2027 year, with several shorter breaks spread across the year instead of one long summer. This calendar includes 4 professional development days, 8 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare. The last day of school is weather-contingent, ranging from November 23 to May 28 depending on how many built-in weather makeup days are used.
