ASD is a suburban school district with 19 schools. The first day of school is August 6. This district follows a modified calendar for the 2026-2027 year, which starts and ends on a different schedule than a traditional calendar. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (November 23–March 15) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 6 professional development days, 6 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
