PSD is a rural school district with 24 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 4 and end May 26. This district follows a modified calendar for the 2026-2027 year, which starts and ends on a different schedule than a traditional calendar. The district has said a complete 2026-2027 calendar — including early dismissal dates — will be published soon. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (March 5–April 19) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed.
