BISD is a suburban school district with 33 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 12 and end May 27. The calendar sets aside 2 additional days (March 26–April 23) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 9 professional development days, 6 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
