JISD is a suburban school district with 33 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 12 and end May 27. Calendar dates are confirmed for part of the year; the rest of the 2026-2027 calendar isn't available yet — check back soon. The calendar sets aside 3 additional days (October 9–April 2) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 2 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare.
