LEISD is a suburban school district with 11 schools. The first day of school is August 12. Little Elm ISD sits along 62 miles of shoreline on Lake Lewisville and is one of Texas's fastest-growing school districts. The district has said a complete 2026-2027 calendar — including early dismissal dates — will be published soon. The calendar sets aside 2 additional days (May 24–May 25) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 1 professional development day — useful to know when planning childcare.
