MISD is a rural school district with 17 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 12 and end May 26. Manor ISD has been recognized as a District of Distinction in visual arts by the Texas Art Education Association. The district has said a complete 2026-2027 calendar — including early dismissal dates, teacher workdays and grading period end dates — will be published soon. This calendar includes 3 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare. The last day of school is weather-contingent, ranging from May 26 to May 27 depending on how many built-in weather makeup days are used.
