MISD is a suburban school district with 12 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 12 and end May 21. Midway ISD, based in Woodway, Texas, deliberately aligns its school calendar with Baylor University and McLennan Community College so that families with students or staff at those institutions share common holiday windows. Calendar dates are confirmed for part of the year; the rest of the 2026-2027 calendar isn't available yet — check back soon. The calendar sets aside 2 additional days (March 29–April 30) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 1 professional development day, 1 early-release or half day — useful to know when planning childcare.
