Harrison County Schools School Calendar 2026-2027

At a Glance

HCS is a local school district with 26 schools. For the 2026-2027 school year, classes begin August 18 and end June 1. The calendar sets aside 4 additional days (November 23–June 7) that may be used as weather makeup days if needed. This calendar includes 6 professional development days, 5 early-release or half days — useful to know when planning childcare. The last day of school is tentatively set for June 1, but may move if the district needs to use weather makeup days.
